Dawn of Time - Break of Dawn

July 2003: it is done.

After a change of singer, style, and name, Dawn of Time of course had to release a demo, and so we did. That is, if you want to call a 24-track, professionally produced CD a "demo" just because there's only three songs on it. As long-time recording artists, we just couldn't bring ourselves to just quickly "one-take one-track" three songs and get it over with. So call it a mini-CD, if you will. We do.

The three songs just barely span the width and depth of Dawn Of Time's music, with an energetic 7/8 time combined with a deep grungy 7-string bridge on "Close your eyes" competing with the steady-rocking power of "4 Life ", both set against the deceptively easy-going bass-oriented "Should I Care?".

Download the tracks as MP3 on our Sounds Page, or order the real thing (it's worth it), in a jewel case with silver-on-black printed covers. We've priced it at € 5,-. Unfortunately shipping costs, especially to the US but local as well, turned out to be quite high.

The songs were recorded, mixed and mastered in a weekend and some evenings in The Hague's Holland Spoor Studio's by Chris Muller, who is well worth every penny as well.
